I’m scheduled 7:00 to 3:30 we get a 30 minute lunch and I work 5 days a week so that’s 40 hours
Yet somehow I’m still only getting 42 hours 🙃

For those that need to hear it.
OT is not taxed as extra. It’s treated the same as regular time income as far as taxes are concerned.
The reason you probably think it’s taxed more is because the software your employer uses takes your OT paycheck and extrapolates that over the year causing more to be withheld. You’ll get it back at the end of the year.
Or if you don’t want to wait until the end of the year, you can lower your withholding but then you risk possibly owing something at the end of the year.

I try to do 15hrs a day monday – Thursday if I hit my sweet spot of hours Im good with it. Yes im tired af but this sadly adulting for me. Especially with having your parents getting older .
